Amy Clark has been the Youth Director and Assistant Director of Music at Indian Hill Church since June of 2019. Originally from Akron, Ohio, Amy came to Cincinnati in 2002, where she earned a B.S. in Music Education and a B.A. in Vocal Performance from Xavier University upon her graduation in 2006. She taught general music at St. Vivian School for grades K-8 for four years and then went on to be the Director of Vocal Music at Ursuline Academy. During her time at Ursuline, Amy conducted three choral ensembles, taught music theory, was the vocal music director during the fall musical productions, took her students on several competition trips, and organized biennial fund-raising events that benefited the performing arts. Additionally, while at Ursuline she participated in several service trips to Re-Member on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, as well as volunteering on other service projects, including Shantytown, and went on numerous Kairos retreats. Amy began singing with the IHC Adult, Women’s, and Youth Choirs in 2017, and has been enjoying making music with all the choirs ever since. She also directed the Christmas Musical productions with grades K-8 here at IHC, as well as the Spring Musicals before joining the IHC staff full-time. She has enjoyed being a member of the staff and getting to know her students and everyone at IHC, and is so thrilled to see where our path will take us in the future!
