Families are the center of faith formation.

Parents are the most important influence shaping the religious and spiritual lives of children and youth. Indian Hill Church Family Ministry strives to develop the family as a community of faith by equipping parents and grandparents to transmit the Christian faith at home.

Each month, we offer a Young Family Service followed by an outreach project or a fellowship event. The shortened service is specially designed for families with young children. The music and prayers are designed for young families. Each service includes a dramatic re-telling of the Bible story and an adult reflection.

Messy Church meets monthly on Monday from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM.  Messy church provides worship, fellowship and fun for preschool children and their family! There are several stations with adequate spacing to allow children to safely create at a distance from other children.  We’ll begin with snack, enjoy fun and educational activities, and conclude with worship in the Sanctuary and a simple pizza lunch. If you want to confirm your attendance to help us with our pizza count, contact our Children and Family Ministry Director, Jennifer.

In 2021, we offered a variety of fellowship opportunities for families. On the lawn in the spring, we created Resurrection Gardens, watched a performance of Snow White by Backyard Broadway, and learned about animals from Cool Critters animal rescue. In the fall, families assembled birthday kits for St. Vincent de Paul and created care packages for college students. In October, we had a fall festival on the lawn.  For advent, we prepared a family advent experience for each young family in the church to enjoy at home. Each set included the book, Unwrapping the Greatest Gift, an advent wreath with advent candles and a simple advent candle liturgy.
